Nunberg Says He Enjoyed Defiance But Will Comply With Mueller

Nunberg Don't care what WH is saying about Former Trump Aide Says He Was Having A "Rough Day" When He Insulted Sarah Sanders During Bizarre TV Interviews

Nunberg told CNN of the subpoena. I was heavily invested in that campaign.

Stone said Tuesday that Nunberg was not "speaking at my behest or my direction", arguing that the former campaign aide "marches to his own drummer". "I think it would be really, really amusing if they wanted to arrest me because I don't want to spend 80 hours going over emails I had with Steve Bannon and Roger Stone", he said. Axios criticized reporters for their coverage of Nunberg's antics, calling the episode "awful scandal porn" and describing the former Trump aide as having a "sad, epic meltdown" on national television.

"I'm happy if the scope changes and if they send me a subpoena that doesn't include Carter Page", he said, insisting the two had never spoken. "Sarah's very talented. It was a rude comment".

In his opening monologue on Tuesday, Sean Hannity reacted to fired Trump aide Sam Nunberg's freaky television interviews, arguing they show just how "despicably low" the mainstream media will go to damage President Trump.

He also said he believes the only reason he's being asked to testify before the grand jury is to provide information that would be used against Stone, a longtime Trump adviser, which he says he won't do.

Nunberg appeared pleased by his performance, telling the AP that he was "doing something I've never seen".

On a claim that Stone met with WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange in 2016, Stone recalled the photo of his passport recently published by The Daily Caller of his passport that's purported to show that Stone did not leave the country in 2016.

Former Trump campaign aide backtracks on Mueller: 'I'm going to cooperate'

Stone said he rejects the idea that Assange works with Russian Federation and called the WikiLeaks publisher "courageous" and better than two prominent US newspapers. "I'm a little anxious about me", he said.

News reported last week that Mueller's team is asking pointed questions about whether Trump knew about hacked emails from Hillary Clinton's campaign before the public found out.

"Chuck, I've been accused of being a dirty trickster, but there's one trick that's not in my bag: Treason", Stone said.

Mueller subpoenaed Nunberg's communications with the individuals in late February.

Nunberg started working for then-businessman Trump in 2011, making him one of his earliest political advisers, but he was sacked from the Republican's campaign in August 2015 before the heat of the 2016 presidential race.

Cohen, who has worked for Trump for more than two decades, previously spoke to both the House and Senate Intelligence Committees in October. He said questions also focused on communications he had through an intermediary with Assange.
