Prince Philip Hospitalized, Will Undergo Hip Surgery

Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, has been hospitalised for a pre-scheduled surgery of his hip, the Buckingham Palace said in a statement on Tuesday.
Prince Philip has been admitted to hospital and will have surgery tomorrow.
The 96-year-old had skipped a couple of public events recently due to the hip problem.
At a ceremony commemorating Britain's war dead in November, he appeared to be having trouble standing and leaned against a wall.
The palace said Philip entered King Edward VII Hospital in London on Tuesday afternoon and will have surgery Wednesday.
The duke missed Prince Andrew's appointment as the new Colonel of the Granadier on March 22, but the Palace declined to comment on that matter that the time. Over the last week, Prince Philip's health has prevented him from attending traditional Maundy and Easter services at Windsor Castle's St. George's Chapel alongside Queen Elizabeth.
His last solo appearance was seen in August 2017, when he reviewed the Royal Marines outside Buckingham Palace.
