Conor McGregor has been charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief stemming from an incident Thursday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, a police spokesperson confirmed to USA TODAY Sports.

McGregor was released on $50,000 bond and co-defendant Cian Cowley on $25,000 bond.

White, after telling reporters Wednesday that he believed "100 percent" that McGregor would fight in the UFC again this year, was outraged by the Thursday incident. TMZ has video showing someone breaking a bus window by throwing a dolly through it.

Conor McGregor's media day antics put several fighters' livelihoods in danger this week, but according to UFC president Dana White, those affected won't miss their UFC 223 payday - mostly.

"No ... no", White said on the program when asked if he would help Conor on this one.

The former UFC champion will be allowed to travel home to Ireland in the wake of his arrest and charges related to an alleged attack on a bus full of rival fighters on Thursday.

He punched a number of the bus's windows, yelling "Get out!" and at one point he commanded his group to "Smash the windows!"

"A decision was made by the New York State Athletic Commission to pull me from UFC 223", Chiesa tweeted.

The popular Irishman is tight with UFC 223 fighter Artem Lobov, who was involved this week in a scuffle in a hotel with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

On Friday, Conor McGregor turned himself into police.

In total, six fighters were taken off the card due to circumstances out of their control.

Star brawler Conor McGregor is a free man, following a backstage melee in an outburst that could harm his star power.

Chiesa's coach, Rick Little, describes the rampage saying he felt as if "they got jumped". "I have too many other things to think about".

Lightweight Michael Chiesa sustained facial cuts and flyweight Ray Borg multiple corneal abrasions.

White also claims that McGregor and company injured a security guard who happened to be working the event.

Following the press conference, White told reporters that McGregor's priorities should be sorting his legal and personal issues.

"I feel that when you have reached such high status you have to carry yourself in a classy way", Mayweather said of McGregor.

Straight after the bus incident, Nurmagomedov called out McGregor and seemed to challenge him to an unregulated fight.
