Assassin's Creed Odyssey possibly leaks ahead of E3 2018

Assassin's Creed Odyssey possibly leaks ahead of E3 2018 Assassin's Creed Odyssey possibly leaks ahead of E3 2018

Ubisoft confirmed the title after a picture of a keyring circulated online (via French site Jeuxvideo), showing the game's logo and teasing the Greek setting. If those details are to be believed, Assassin's Creed Odyssey will indeed take place in Ancient Greece, with Assassin's Creed: Origins' Bayek and Aya filling a similar story role to the one occupied by Altair in Assassin's Creed II. The video shows what appears to be a Spartan warrior kicking a Persian "Immortal" off a cliff.

Pre-E3 announcements and leaks are everywhere at the moment and the latest leak may have just revealed the next game in the Assassin's Creed series, Assassin's Creed Odyssey. As the teaser states, we can expect more information at E3.

Ubisoft did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Assassin's Creed has featured female protagonists before, however this is a first for the series in which you can choose the gender between Male and Female. The game will introduce even more RPG mechanics to the series.

Finally, Schreier states that Odyssey is slated for release during Ubisoft's 2019 fiscal year, which ends on March 31st, 2019. That's why Ubisoft took a year off to work on Origins, and it paid off, with the Egyptian-themed game meeting with some of the strongest reviews in the franchise. Given how often Assassin's Creed games get leaked before their official reveal, I'm putting my money on this report being legit.
