Breaking down Bethesda's E3 2018 Showcase

Fallout 76 emotes Fallout 76 is a Prequel Set in West Virginia, Four Times Bigger Than Fallout 4

Bethesda fans have been begging for a new The Elder Scrolls game for years now, and though this is very likely years away, at least we can rest assured that the game is in development, and these guys know just how precious the franchise is to us.

As for Starfield, there's not really a whole lot to go on, so the hype isn't quite there yet.

Aside from some free game mode changes available today, Prey will be coming out with two new pieces of DLC.

Bethesda have just popped up during the Microsoft E3 briefing to unveil Fallout 76, which is set before all the previous games and 300 years since the formation of the United States of America.

RECLAMATION DAY. Are you ready to take back America? While we've had our guesses about what the game could be about, we now have all the details about the new game set in West Virginia. This means the other people you experience while playing aren't NPCs. You'll be able to both fight alongside and against other players, all in the same open world wasteland.

There's also a game mechanic where it seems nuclear weapons can be acquired - the nuclear launch codes can be used to fire a nuclear missile at parts of the game world's map.

Look, I'll be honest with you: I'm not going to waste any time with ambling words because I'm so goddamn excited about Fallout 76. The publisher is also having mobile-only giveaways from June 11-13 to celebrate the game's third anniversary.

At the tail end of Bethesda's E3 2018 press conference this evening, Todd Howard made a whopper of an announcement, confirming once and for all that The Elder Scrolls VI is indeed a thing that exists.
