Pep Guardiola: No doubting Joe Hart's quality despite Borussia Dortmund defeat

Sergio Cook | 24 July, 2018, 21:42

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart says his next move needs to be permanent after two loan spells away from the Premier League club, with the England global saying "there's no league I'd say no to".

Hart has recently had loan spells at Torino and West Ham, but was unable to force his way into Gareth Southgate's 23-man-squad for the World Cup in Russian Federation.

"I need to go somewhere permanent, I think that's obvious", he said.

'Liverpool believe they need these players and spend this money so I'm not judging what they're doing. "I know I've got an bad lot to give in the game".

"And look where that got me", Hart, who was left out of England's squad for Russian Federation 2018, told reporters.

Another player who fell foul of Guardiola was Jadon Sancho, the Borussia Dortmund winger who left City for Germany last summer amid fears he wouldn't play enough first team football. "I'm older and being who I am and what I am, I'm there to be shot at".

Cocu took another City talent, Oleksandr Zinchenko, on loan to PSV in the 2016-17 season, but was criticised by some for seldom using the talented Ukraine, who Guardiola made better use of the following season at a much higher level. We are one of them and there are many. I'm young, I'm fit, I'm fresh. I'm supposed to be here so this is where I put all my energy and time. "As soon as people come back we will know what we need for the games against Chelsea [in the Community Shield] and Arsenal".

"I've never had such a long summer off so it's just good to be playing football again".
