Aretha Franklin's funeral on Friday in Detroit, Michigan, was a testament to the impact she made on the world both through her music and her personal relationships.

The legendary singer died of advanced pancreatic cancer on August 16 at age 76. Other attendees included former President Bill Clinton, former first lady Hillary Clinton, Stevie Wonder, Ariana Grande, and Smokey Robinson.

"I've been wishing and hoping that I will wake up and that this is just a dream", she said.

Gospel stars Marvin Sapp and Vanessa Bell Armstrong are also slated to make appearances at the funeral, as well as the Aretha Franklin Choir and the Aretha Franklin Celebration Choir.

"Long lines at the funerals of icons and short lines for voting", the Rev. Jesse Jackson said in remembrance, noting that 2016 Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, who was also in attendance, lost MI by 11,000 votes. "She worked for us".

"Something is missing. If you leave here today and don't register to vote, you have dishonored Aretha". "I remember when I was a kid, people used to always ask me, what does it feel like to be Aretha Franklin's granddaughter?" she said.

She continued, "When I would go to her shows and watch her sing it would be the best feeling in the world".

He ended his time by playing Franklin's "Think" on his iPhone into the mic. It will be marked by a different discipline, another kind of order, taking a different path home with eulogies from former presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush. "It's the key to freedom!"

The Queen of Soul got the ultimate royal send-off Friday with a marathon funeral featuring moving performances and heartfelt tributes by a who's who of Hollywood.

Franklin influenced generations of singers from the late Whitney Houston to Beyonce, with unforgettable hits including "Respect" (1967) and "I Say a Little Prayer" (1968). "'I wanna see what the girl is carrying out.'" Franklin, had an outfit change between the public viewings of her body and the funeral: she's now wearing a sparkling full-length gold dress with sequined heels to the funeral, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Outside, dozens of pink Cadillac owners worked together to pay their respects, lining the road ahead of Franklin's funeral. The mayor announced that Detroit's Chene Park and its performance amphitheater would be renamed for Franklin.
