Carragher reveals the main mistake Mourinho didn't learn from at Chelsea

Chelsea ended title rivals Liverpool's ideal start to the Premier League season in a thrilling 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly told his friends that he is anxious with the current lackluster performance of the Premier League club.

Under-fire Jose Mourinho believes some of Manchester United's players "care more than others" about their poor start to the season.

They were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Championship side Derby.

A training ground spat with star player Paul Pogba, assumed to be some managerial theatre, was caught on Sky Sports cameras earlier in the week before Manchester United lost 3-1 to West Ham in the Premier League.

United's 10 points from seven games is the same as in 2013-14 under David Moyes, but an inferior goal difference means this is their worst top-flight start since they picked up seven points in 1989-90.

Mourinho is paid to get the best of Pogba, Sanchez and others but that is clearly not happening, so he has to address that issue urgently.

Former Chelsea forward Sturridge's 50th league goal for Liverpool came in the 89th minute and ensured the Reds remained undefeated in the league ahead of next weekend's clash with Premier League champions Manchester City. They have won eight of their last nine such games since that defeat (D1).

Sturridge has not had it easy under manager Juergen Klopp, with injuries and the form of forwards Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah keeping him out of the side. Offensively they have a lot of potential with players of the highest level, some costing more than 70 million who represent their countries.

"But it looks as if he has gone back to that, or is still doing that, at Manchester United".

For some, the last straw in Jose Mourinho's reign.

Then there needs to be a commitment to playing in a more expansive fashion, especially at home, as well as a conscious effort to stop washing United's dirty linen in public; you can guess what Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Bobby Charlton think on that latter front, especially.

"Two seasons ago he was a protagonist", said Sarri. The manager is so peeved at the Chilean's displays so far that he has reportedly told him he may never play for United again if his performances do not improve.

The report adds that Zidane's representatives have only asked if he is interested in the job, meaning nothing concrete has been decided yet.

Mourinho was also asked if his job was on the line following three defeats in United's opening seven Premier League fixtures. Chelsea nearly defeated Liverpool on Saturday.
