With foreign support and internal stability maintained, it appears MBS and King Salman have weathered the storm that followed Jamal Khashoggi's killing, reducing the immediate likelihood of MBS's removal.

It's possible to make out Prince Mohammed saying "Don't worry", to which the French President responds "I am worried".

Mr Trump later said there was "no discussion" but did not rule out holding longer talks with the crown prince during the two-day summit.

The two leaders met in the prince's residence in Buenos Aires and discussed Saudi Arabia's readiness to supply India with oil and petroleum products.

Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, left, and Russia's President Vladimir Putin speak at the start of the G20 summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Friday, Nov. 30, 2018.

British Prime Minister Theresa May, speaking to Sky News before the summit, said she would press the crown prince both on Yemen and Khashoggi at the G-20.

Mrs May is said to have told the Crown Prince to take action to prevent future incidents like the murder of Mr Khashoggi from happening.

The world will have to wait a little longer for an update on how Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are getting on.

French officials added Mr Macron spoke to the Crown Prince about the ongoing war in Yemen where millions of people are facing starvation amid one of the worst famines the world has ever seen. "I like the deal we have now".

The Elysee Palace also said Macron stressed the need to find a political solution to the war in Yemen in his conversation with bin Salman, whose country's brutal military campaign has left thousands of Yemenis dead over the past four years and pushed the impoverished nation to the brink of starvation.

Furthermore, the English-language Saudi Gazette shared a video of the meeting reportedly showing a cryptic exchange between the pair on the killing of Khashoggi.

At the end, Mr Macron is heard threateningly telling MBS: "I am a man of my word".

United States intelligence, which has reportedly analysed an audio recording from inside the Saudi Arabian consulate, has concluded that MBS was behind the murder of Mr Khashoggi, an allegation which Saudi Arabia still denies.

A White House official confirmed the two exchanged pleasantries during a leaders' session.

There has been widespread condemnation and public outrage over attacks on sites such as school bus and hospitals, where Yemeni civilians, including children, have died.

The U.S. president also didn't pay much attention to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who found himself snubbed for the second time in a month after Trump used Twitter to torpedo their planned meeting in Argentina.
